Efficacy of Clomiphene Citrate Alone Versus Clomiphene Citrate Plus Metformin in Anovulatory Infertility in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

Objective: To compare the efficacy of clomiphene citrate and with metformin in anovulatory infertility PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Study Design: Randomized controlled trial. Place Duration Study: This research took place Department Gynecology Obstetrics at combined military hospital Bahawalpur. The study was carried out over a six-month period, starting on 1st November 2022 concluding 30 April 2023 Materials Methods: comprised 176 married women aged between 18 40 years who had been experiencing for more than 6 months. In group A, period three menstrual cycles, patients received 500 mg times day consistently 100 daily from fifth to ninth their cycle. contrast, B were given cycle up We recorded analyzed treatment all participants both groups. Results: this study, combination showed 71.59% ovulation rate compared alone (39.77 %). pregnancy 31.82% (CC) 64.77% (clomiphene metformin). Efficacy observed 57 (64.77%) treated CC. 28 (31.82%) (p = 0.002). Conclusion: findings suggest that demonstrated superior use treating associated polycystic ovary syndrome.
